Original AG Pattern Clothes

Samantha's Plaid Cape with Gaiters

I sewed the AG dresses on this page using the American Girl Patterns released by the Pleasant Company based on outfits being manufactured and sold by the American Girl Company. They were phased out in 1998 and are all now retired. 

I began with the Samantha patterns for my younger daughter's doll, then Addy for my older daughter's doll, and finally Molly patterns for my Mom's doll. Mom liked to sew and knit for the AG dolls too! 

Samantha's Play Dress and Pinafore

I tried to sew the clothes from these patterns to look like the one's that could be purchased because that's what the daughters requested. Eventually, I used the patterns as a guide to sew other clothing. For Samantha's Play Dress, I used an AG pattern but for the Pinafore, I adapted a pattern. For the Maroon Rose dress, I used Samantha's Lacy Pinafore Dress and leftover material from a dress I made for my younger daughter.
